The need for real answers has grown exponentially with the awareness of the real problems we are facing in our social, political, health and environmental worlds. This search is especially active and even urgent in our adolescents and young adults who can view life globally more than any generation before them.

Sensitive ones are those who are so highly attuned to the inherent,
inevitable fact of change and loss in this world.
It is understandable, and moving, that we wish for someone in our life who can help us with our fear, uncertainty, and unhappiness…. But how can it truly work when what you are hoping for from me is what I am hoping for from you?
Our vulnerable reality, just as it is, with no magical solutions or illusory protections, opens the door to a deeper part of our mind where boundaries dissolve and a unifying love rules. This is the mind in oneness.
Love without conditions is love that arises from the simple fact of
being part of creation and alive in the world.
What you can know for certain is that, as a created being, you are inseparably bonded to creation; you always have been and always will be. There never was a time and there never will be a time when you are not part of creation. This unbreakable bond is your oneness with all of life.
The discovery takes something away but puts nothing new in its place, and so it sets in motion the search for something new, something more.
Once you've accepted that you are part of life and a full participant in its cycle of birth and death, you need a perspective to help you make sense of it.
Any experience in which you cross over from your usual separate self into a sense of connection with others or with nature has some taste of oneness in it, and the emotion of this oneness is love.
“The number one emotional challenge in the entire human world is the stimulation of our vulnerability and the fear, anxiety and anger it provokes in us. The Schaubs demonstrate that it is the very universality of our vulnerability that offers us a new way to see it and be in harmony with it. Offering specific, intimate examples of the choices people make to deny their vulnerability, they show you how to practice the awareness of vulnerability and how to turn toward it with courage and serenity.
The End of Fear helps you to accept your vulnerability and to allow it to be your realistic spiritual path of connection to every other living being.”
I started reading this book for a class, then discovered its value for laymen as well. It is easy to read and yet has insight about life and living. Richard Schaub shares his personal experiences allowing the reader to join him in short chapters of the book. In each chapter, he shares a part of his sensitivity. I read this book with my husband, and found it generated new dialogue and sharing. I recommend this book for discussion groups and couples, as well as anyone who is interested in reflection.
An excellent and a realistic view of fear in our lives and the path to making fear a friend and living free of its negative effects. I loved the openness of the author who shared his journey with fear and the many stories he shares with the reader. I purchased several copies of "The End of Fear" to give to my grown sons this holiday season.
Very good book that helps you understand how to open up to your vulnerabilities and end the fears that follow you around. This book will help you get comfortable with changes and the transitory nature of everything created.
It's so easy to sit back and not take that first step to get things done in life. A lot of it, you will find out through this book, has to do with fear. This book gave me another way to look at life, and I have found renewed courage in taking those first steps to deal with my complacent (fearful) attitude that has locked me into comfortable (and not so comfortable) life situations. Perspective is key!
This book deals so eloquently with the fear that each of us faces, in the most human, meaningful way. It has helped me face the vulnerability we all share. It is written in such a thoughtful, honest, personal way. I keep it by my bedside and have reread several of the chapters again and again. I have bought several copies for friends who are also very moved by Bonney and Richard Schaub's insights.
I'd recommend this book to everyone and anyone who is looking to better their lives by deepening their understanding of dynamics of awareness, living by the light of inner truth, a life of freedom from fear...
Loved this book, just what I needed. It contains gentle techniques to normalize fear and widen the heart. Glad I bought it, but even happier now that I read it.
I read this book in two or three sittings for a class in my master's program. It was excellent and I've carried some of its contents forward into my life and career. I highly recommend reading this.
